Anika Noni Rose is an American actor and singer. She is most famous for her performance as Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog. Tiana was Disney's very first African-American Princess. She was named a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on September 6 on the 6th of September, 1973. Rose is an American actress and a singer. Best known as the voice in the role of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the very first African American Disney Princess. Disney Legends named her one of them in 2011. She is best known for the role of Lorrell Robinson as the Academy Award-winning movie Dreamgirls (2005) and for her performance as LaVerne Jinglebox Ganner in Starz show Power. She's also well known for her work in the stage, especially for the starring parts as Emmie Thibodeaux and the Broadway show Caroline or Change (2004) in which she won she received the Tony Award Best Musical Featured Performance award was presented to her. Also, she played Beneatha Youther, who played the role in the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun (2015) in which she was awarded she received the Tony Award Best Play Featured Performance was nominated for her.
